Xojo 2015 R1
Mar 05, 2015 Xojo 2015 R1 did start. It may be purely coincidental but I thought it might be worth a warning that if you like to live on the bleeding edge of betas, make sure you have a decent backup. I've rolled back to the developer beta and everything is back to normal again. As time marches on, some older features of Xojo may no longer be relevant, may be unsupported by the OS or may be replaced with a newer feature. In such cases, the Xojo feature will be marked as De-emphasized, Deprecated and then finally removed. 2015 Release 1. Deprecations Removals TargetHasGUI, TargetPPC, TargetPowerPC.
The Formatted Text Control (FTC) is a canvas based control for Xojo that implements word processor capabilities similar to Apple Pages or Microsoft Word. The FTC is a canvas (technically Text Input Canvas) based control for Xojo that allows you to instantly add word processing capabilities to your applications. The FTC supports Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. The FTC is completely written in Xojo.FTC Features:

Minimum Requirements The FTC is supported for latest Xojo release and one release back. It’s possible it will work in later versions but that is unsupported. The FTC provides the infrastructure for spell checking, but does not provide the actual spell checking software. The FTC demo uses the BKS Spell Checker plugin as the base spell checker and may be purchased separately. You may use any spell checking software you like with the FTC. If you want to run the optional regression test suite in the FTC demo application, you will need the “MBS REALbasic ComputerControl Plugin.” | Purchasing the FTC Pricing for this software is $150 for a set of non-encrypted source code modules. To purchase a license, go to the BKeeney Software Web Store. Version 3.0 Instructions:Your receipt from eSellerate will contain instructions on how to download the source code and additional documentation and example projects.
